3D

Combination of skills multiply approaches and boosts creativity.
For me 3D is less about assignments and more about passion. But fortunately this passion is being very fruitful. It provides me unique assets which I can use as illustrations or textures.

Traditional teapot and cups is something used widely in Central Asia. How do I create my own pattern on teapot for the poster? Just model it in 3D, texture it and render! I prefer unbiased rendering as it gives very natural looking result.

Realistic Textures are generally developed for 3D but can be used in any 2D design. These textures I have developed in Substance Designer from scratch. And what inspires me - I can create any texture with unlimited variations.
3D abstract I created in 3DsMax as asset for 2D design.
3D models can be good alternative to shots of real people. This image is done with realistic rendering of 3D model. The face of the model I have carefully tweaked. And what is good about this approach - you do not need model release!

I love modeling dresses and plants. Overall look really benefits when you have nice and realistic textile and vegetation on your image.

I prefer to use specialized tools for each type of objects I have on my scene. I used at least 5 applications for this one. Mountains were modeled in one application, cloth in second, tree in third and all of these were textured in Substance Designer and assembled and rendered in 3DsMax.
